The Erguvan Festival, an ancient Ottoman spring tradition dating back to Emir Sultan Buhârî—one of the great scholars and Sufi masters of the reign of Yıldırım Bayezid Han—was organised this year by the Yıldırım Municipality in Bursa on 8, 9 and 10 May 2026.
As part of the Erguvan Festival events, a concert of Sufi music was held on Friday, 8 May 2026, by the Executive Committee of our Foundation’s Bursa Representative Office. As part of the same programme, our Foundation Chairman, Ahmet Özhan, delivered a speech on the essence of humanity, spiritual values and the relationship between this world and the hereafter. In his address, he highlighted humanity’s journey towards truth, the place of our tradition of irfan within our spiritual world, and the spiritual legacy of Emir Sultan, which has endured for centuries.
Later in the programme, a session of prayer and the recitation of Zikrullah was held at the Emir Sultan Mosque, presided over by our Foundation Chairman, Ahmet Özhan. The programme, which took place following Friday prayers, was held in a spiritual atmosphere with the active participation of the congregation and members of the public.
