PRIVACY POLICY OF THE FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCHING AND PRESERVING TURKISH SUFI MUSIC AND FOLKLORE
The Foundation for Researching and Preserving Turkish Sufi Music and Folklore (hereinafter referred to as the “FOUNDATION”) attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and/or special categories of personal data within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data. We exercise great care regarding the storage of all personal data and/or special categories of personal data belonging to you that are transmitted to the FOUNDATION through various channels. In this context, the FOUNDATION has taken the necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, other relevant legislation, and—most notably—the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698. It should be noted that the rights guaranteed by law are also upheld by the FOUNDATION. 1. DEFINITIONS
Data Controller: Refers to the FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCHING AND PRESERVING TURKISH SUFI MUSIC AND FOLKLORE, which determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for establishing and managing the data filing system.
Data Subject – Concerned Person: Refers to the natural person whose personal data is being processed.
Law: Refers to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
Personal Data: Refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Special Category Personal Data: Refers to data concerning individuals’ race, ethnic origin, political opinions, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect or other beliefs, appearance and clothing, membership in associations, foundations, or trade unions, health, private life, criminal convictions and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.
Board: Refers to the Personal Data Protection Board.
Policy: Refers to this “Privacy Policy.”
Processing of Personal Data: Refers to any operation performed on personal data, such as obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, altering, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying, or preventing the use of data, whether by fully or partially automated means or by non-automated means provided that it is part of a data filing system. Explicit Consent: Refers to consent regarding a specific matter that is based on being informed and expressed of one’s own free will.
Destruction: Refers to rendering personal data inaccessible, irretrievable, and unusable by anyone in any way.
Deletion: Refers to rendering personal data inaccessible and unusable by the relevant users in any way.
Anonymization: Refers to rendering personal data such that it can in no way be associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, even if matched with other data.
Disposal: Refers to the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of personal data.
Data: Refers collectively to personal data and special categories of personal data.
2. PURPOSE OF THE PRIVACY POLICY
The protection of personal data and compliance with the law constitute a fundamental principle of the FOUNDATION. Personal data and/or special categories of personal data obtained from relevant parties during all activities carried out by the FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCHING AND PRESERVING TURKISH SUFI MUSIC AND FOLKLORE have been kept confidential and have not been shared with third parties. The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 has been taken into account in the Foundation’s handling of data, and the necessary technical and administrative measures have been implemented in this regard. In this context, the FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCHING AND PRESERVING TURKISH SUFI MUSIC AND FOLKLORE accepts, declares, and undertakes to fulfill its legal obligations.
3. SCOPE OF THE PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. Your personal data and/or special categories of personal data are processed with your consent or within the scope of circumstances permitted by law. Said data is used for the purposes of:
– Ensuring the security of the Foundation,
– Providing comprehensive services,
– Rapidly resolving any issues that may arise,
– Enhancing quality.
